The days are getting shorter, there’s a chill in the air and FOGO (fear of going out) is a legit thing now. As much as all we want to do is hibernate, we still need to eat and you’ll definitely experience FOMO if you miss out on trying these wonderful winter spots! Here are my Top 6 places to try in London this season. Get your big coats, scarves and hats ready – it’s time to get into the winter spirit. Eat, drink and be merry!
- Pergola on the roof – Winter Edition (Opens 3rd November)
Yay, West London’s hot rooftop food spot is back with a Winter themed revamp! BBC’s old car park converted to foodie heaven was a huge success over Summer with long queues to get in every evening. Expect huge trees, delicious food and a weatherproof dome. My heart skipped a beat (seriously) when I saw the restaurant line up for this. Gunpowder and Le Bab are equally as delicious and I couldn’t have dreamed of better food pop ups appearing here!
FREE drink when you sign up on their website.
Restaurants: Gunpowder, Le Bab, Patty & Bun, Snaps & Rye
2. Little Feast (Opens 4th November)
A quirky English, fairy lit garden resembling a Winter market at Shepherds Bush Yard. It will be a cosy place to enjoy mulled wine and casual pop up feasting. There’s blankets and heated seating areas here so don’t let the cold put you off venturing out!
Restaurants: Bull & Rancher, Nanny Bill’s, Claw, Cheeky Burger, La Bao

3. Sliders (Opens 3rd November)
So this is a strange one. There’s always a new activity centred pop up opening in London, of course incorporating food and drinks. We’ve seen bowling, ping pong, mini golf and social darts transformed and now the team behind Rooftop Film Club bring you curling club! I had never heard of it either but it’s meant to be similar to bowling and looks like it could be fun so I’d give it a go. If curling doesn’t tempt you, there are also karaoke cabins and The Roof East winter rooftop bar.
Restaurants: Rockadollar, Cachina and Spirited Mixers (bar team)
4. Selfridges Forest On The Roof (Open now)
Forest on the Roof is back with a winter-inspired menu. I LOVE Selfridges because you can find so much under one roof – it truly is a shopaholics dream. From working here back in the day to spending so much time exploring and drooling over the foodhall, Selfridges will always have a special place in my heart. Forest on the roof is a pretty restaurant and a great spot to get away from the chaos of Oxford Street!
Tip: The brekie menu is more veggie friendly than the main menu, but the roof is always a fun place for drinks and nibbles.
5. Birdies Crazy Golf Club (Opens 11th November)
Birdies is back and they’ve moved to Peckham Festival. A nine-hole golf course and a collection of the best food trucks London has to offer as well as two bars. Golf, warm winter beverages, local DJs and comfy sofas – sounds like a great evening!
6. Skye Halla at Queen of Hoxton (Open now)
Halla yes! Another winter wonder rooftop and this time with a Nordic Viking theme! Expect drinking horns, fire pits and a feasting hall. There are a few veggie options on the menu and they cater for all dietary needs on request. Open Monday – Saturday 4-10pm.
