Manitoba Tigella

London’s first tigella kitchen has arrived!  I didn’t know what it was either, but I’m glad I ventured to newly opened Manitoba one lunchtime to get a taste of authentic Italy on New Oxford Street. Tigella is a circular shaped stuffed bread from Northern Italy. Italy has blessed us with pizza and pasta and now it’s…

Kurt Zdesar has done it again! His culinary empire, which includes some of London’s top restaurants – Chotto Matte, Nobu and Black Roe to name a few, gained a new addition last month. He has teamed up with Chef Stefano Stecco to bring an Italian dining venture to Marylebone. They travelled around Italy and the…

Osteria 60

Osteria 60 is a fabulous new Italian restaurant located in the Bagaloni Hotel opposite Kensington Gardens. The menu consists of contemporary Italian dishes by Chef Ivan Simeoli. It is an exquisite restaurant to try for the atmosphere and stylish dining experience. While the staff were incredibly kind and I couldn’t fault the service, if I come back I would skip straight to dessert. The vegetarian dishes were lacking that something special I was hoping for.

I absolutely love this place. Huge, thin crust 20 inch Pizzas or by the slice, beer and wine. The heavenly pizzas are made in Homeslice’s large wood fire oven using the freshest ingredients. A short and regularly changing menu with creative topping combinations. The focus is solely on the pizzas and there are no distracting sides or desserts. Paper plates and no cutlery so be prepared to get messy! Great speedy service, cheap and cheerful.

Balls & Company

A unique restaurant which has successfully made the casual meatball an elegant and playful dish. Delicious rich flavours and fantastic service. Although there is only one type of veggie meatball, all the sauce options are vegetarian and the vast selection of veggie sides/specials will not leave you going hungry. The dishes do look small but everything was surprisingly filling. I would recommend everything I had. I’m already planning my next visit to try the rest of the menu!
